Lead Commercial Data & Insights Analyst

An exciting and unique opportunity to mentor a team of data & insights analysts for the Commercial Strategy organization. This is a highly visible role and will drive the vision and roadmap for leveraging data to improve performance. In this role, you will act as a liaison with business leaders, segment partners, the centralized data leadership team, IT, and Finance partners to understand their priorities and develop tools and insights to optimize performance.

Responsibilities:
• Translate business partners' data challenges into automated analytical solutions, driving the bank's success
• Contribute to the forward-looking vision needed to meet the growing analytical needs of our Commercial businesses
• Define strategy and create roadmaps for reporting and automation delivery
• Develop tools and resources to support strategic initiatives with insights that drive elevated performance.
• Build and modify queries using SAS, R, or Python to create data sets for reporting and analysis
• Design, build and maintain Tableau Dashboards and Reports
• Develop and mentor peer analysts
• Establish performance goals and measurement of portfolio managers, bankers and sales team performance
• Develop scorecards to improve data driven business decisioning
• Support Ad Hoc data requests and analysis, delivering insights to highlight areas of growth and opportunity
• Continually improve process and reporting efficiency and accuracy
• Establish best practices and standard definitions for Commercial reporting
• Partner with IT data partners to continue evolving Huntington's data environment, improving our ability to automate and work more efficiently

Required Skills & Experience

* 10+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytical roles

* 5+ years of financial industry experience

* 5+ years in SAS, R or Python

* 5+ years in in SQL

* 2+ years of Tableau or similar business intelligence visualization tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Proven track record of collaborating with business partners to develop technical solutions in an agile manner

* Strong data visualization and communication skills to tell a story with complex data sets in a simple way

* Experience managing teams of peers

* Experience pulling, cleaning, and validating data from disparate source systems

* Background in Financial Services, particularly within Commercial Banking segment or Data organization

* Experience with Salesforce.com or comparable CRM

* Strong Interpersonal skills

* Ability to manage competing priorities in a matrix organization
