Apex is seeking a seasoned organizational change management lead with strong consultative skills to act as an organizational change leader Internal Practice Consultant within our Consulting Practice as part of our Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization. The organizational change manager will play a key role in ensuring projects meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This role is crucial for someone adept at managing the human aspects of change, including business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organizational structures. The ideal candidate will show a passion for mentoring, communicates clearly, and can navigate personnel dynamics while driving towards a clear vision. This role will be responsible for client deliverables as well as internal leadership of consulting professionals. May need to be onsite in Richmond, VA for key meetings.
RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Build and develop a rapport of trust with client stakeholders, executives and internal Apex leaders
  • Create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
  • Strategize and implement high-level program initiatives; develop an engagement roadmap and any related reporting for client delivery
  • Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by the project or initiative
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Manage methods, channels, and distribution lists to enable business transformation training and engagement, including feedback channels for evaluation effectiveness.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Assess organizational readiness, needs and dependences to guide and support change management planning decisions.
  • Partner with leaders to provide input, document requirements, support the design and delivery
  • Collaborate with management and staff for a smooth change implementation, while providing consultative solutions to the client and stakeholders
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress for the project or initiative.
  • Effectively influence others and move toward the successful achievement of transformation goals.
  • Oversee and ensure all deliverables are met in alignment with the Statement of Work
  • Manage risks and brainstorm effective solutions
  • Actively identify new opportunities to continually improve our communication strategies and deliverables in organizational change management
  • Demonstrate professional level consulting skills, leadership skills, and presentation skills while being adaptable and flexible to acquire skills to meet business needs.
  • Continually innovate, seek creative solutions, and find new ways of adding value.
  • Listen and seek to understand the client and meet their needs, providing consultative guidance.
  • Stay attuned to the future needs of the client and work with internal resources to identify opportunities.
  • Proactively provide solutions and approach adversity with a consultative, solution-focused mindset
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in organizational change management required
  • 3+ years of Portfolio/Program Management and/or agile experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, Business or related field (applicable education and experience may be substituted)
  • PROSCI or ADKAR certification highly desirable
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Financial Services and/or Insurance Industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide array of stakeholders from various parts of the organization
  • Experience with communications and/or stakeholder engagement activities, such as developing communications plans, talking points, and/or presentation materials
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Required expertise in PowerPoint, to develop high-profile executive presentations
  • Excellent creative, conceptual, storytelling, and analytic thinking skills
  • Excellent writing skills, strong communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional leadership, time management and organizational skills
