Overall Purpose:

This position provides consulting services by working directly with the customer to identify and recommend solutions that solve the customers strategic business goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate, confer and provides consulting services and manages project activities from client identification through final invoicing.
• Works on billable consulting service projects.
• Demonstrates broad product knowledge with the customer within a specific discipline.
• Works independently on highly complex projects , or may work in a team as assigned by the project leader.
• Technical responsibilities will include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and deployment.
• Leads all technical aspects of delivery, customer satisfaction, and accurate timekeeping for billing purposes, on projects where the Consultant is the only technical resource or lead technical resource.
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in applicable discipline, plus high level of working knowledge in other related fields.
• May assist less experienced peers when needed.
• Work is performed under minimal direction.
• Be the resource of choice to support the Fast Start offering, which is one month of "Trusted Advisor Support" to accelerate and de-risk customer adoption of SDWAN/SASE products. Moving forward, this Consulting offering will be included in all product sales of Aruba, Cisco and HP platforms offered by our Edge Solutions teams.
• Sales Support - As part of the AT&T Consulting SE organization, provides pre-sales support for networking opportunities across the Consulting portfolio, including strategy, assessments, deployment and optimization engagements.
• Billing - Support engagement management activities and billing on projects.
• Proposal Development - Develop resourcing model, timelines and costs of engagements. Develop Statement of Work (SOW) and RFI/RFP development. Present proposals to customers.

• Duties directly related to making sales includes: Meeting with customers and engaging in sales activities at the customers site; communicating with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc. related to proposed solutions/sales, etc.; traveling to and from the customers premise for the purpose of engaging in sales activities; providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues relating to sales; advising customers on suitability of products based on technical needs; preparing proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing, developing strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solutions/sales; researching and developing customer solutions with AT&T external partners, including design and engineering; and researching customer business and industry to identify new sales opportunities.

Education:

• Requires a Bachelors degree.

Experience:

• Requires five to eight years of direct work experience.
• 10+ years of proven consulting experience as a trusted advisor.
• Ability to articulate successful engagements.
• Must be able to lead a team or work independently without oversight.
• 15+ years of experience in planning, designing and deploying complex telecommunications and data infrastructures.
• Background includes business thought leadership and needs analysis, solutions design, infrastructure and application implementation, management, and operational process development, troubleshooting and documentation.
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to maintain positive attitudes through effective team building, enjoys mentoring others, and consistently produces at a high level of productivity. Very good oral and written communication skills
• LAN/WAN expertise
• Routing & Switching expertise
• SDWAN/SASE expertise
• Ansible or Python scripting experience
• Strong documentation skills
