We are seeking a LEAD DIET TECHNICIAN whose passion is to lead our small but mighty team of Diet Techs in implementing the day-to-day assessment of all aspects of residents at moderate and low nutritional risk.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, direct, review Diet Techs who screen, assess, and educate residents at moderate and low nutritional risk for diet and medical nutrition therapy
  • Supervise, hire, train Diet Techs and participate in scheduling and coverage in collaboration with Dining Room Manager and Dietary consultant
  • Utilize excellent communication skills while acting as key liaison between leadership and front line employees
  • Knowledge of food service and long-term care regulations in MA
  • Work collaboratively with residents and families on food preferences
  • Observe food intake and report progress and dietary problems

Job Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Applicant should have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, Bachelor's degree in related field, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge within the field.
  • 1-3 years in a long-term care or food service setting preferred.
