Lead Electrical & Controls Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Manage troubleshooting/support for electrical issues on production lines as well as facility equipment and infrastructure across the campus. Conduct routine and advanced PLC program modifications through project upgrades and maintenance trouble-shooting activities. Develop new control systems for automation projects.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Must understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment
• Familiarity with NEC, NEMA, NFPA, and OSHA code compliance
• Lead trouble-shooting for equipment PLC programs to minimize downtime
• Create new PLC programs where necessary
• Design and implement control systems using sensors, motion control and feedback loops
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required

Education and Experience Profile

• 4 year degree in Electrical Technology or Control Systems is preferred
• At least 4-6 years relevant electrical technician experience in manufacturing
• Experience in consumer packaged goods and Lean Manufacturing

Required Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Capable to interpret and apply NEC, NFPA, and OSHA codes.
• Familiar with 3 phase electrical power applications.
• Experience with RS500, RS5000, Studio5000 and View Studio
• Experience with servo motors and controls
• Demonstrated ability with PLC trouble shooting, interface, and programming skills.
• Ability to be a team player
• Must be detail oriented with strong organization skills.
• Must be results oriented with strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and provide guidance to others
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and prints

Work Environment
80% Manufacturing/Warehouse and 20% Office Environment
