Description

Under general supervision, maintains and monitors the university fire alarm system.
  1. Monitors, inspects and service fire alarm systems.
  2. Responsible for preventative maintenance on all fire alarm systems.
  3. Maintains, tests, and repairs fire alarm sprinkler systems.
  4. Troubleshoots problems and repairs fire alarm systems.
  5. Assists Fire Marshall's Department in regards to fire alarm systems.
  6. Perform annual fire alarm system testing campus wide.
  7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

18 months and 5 years experience

Requires specialized training in basic trades, principles, procedures, practice, routines or techniques in a specific area or trade which might normally be acquired through up to 18 months of education or training beyond the high school level. Vocational competence in the operation of mechanical or electronic equipment may be required Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
