Lead Histology Technician

- Perform various tests, lab processing, staining, preparation of slides, special histological stains
- Track supplies and expenses, provide documents and correspondence for reports
- Maintain equipment and prepare for lab use
- Dispose chemicals
- Prepare, clean and maintain instruments
- Be able to 'command the ship' and keep everyone on track throughout the evening
- Able to answer questions from more junior techs

Required Skills & Experience
- At least an associates in some type of life sciences
- 5 years exp
- Previous experience in molecular laboratories
- previous experience as a lead

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelors in Science
- Experience cutting kidneys, eyes, doing immunofluorescence, IHC, muscle or EM (Electron Microscopy)

ASCP (HTL or HT) certification -- they will have one year to get a certification upon hire
