Insight Global is seeking a Director of Engineering to join the team at a Mechanical Contracting firm based in Orange County, CA. Leveraging existing problem-solving abilities, this individual will oversee the modification, redesign, development, and testing of existing building systems across a diverse project portfolio encompassing commercial buildings, data centers, hospitals, refineries, and other facilities. The Director will manage the engineering team while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive project success. Strong communication skills are essential as this role involves frequent interaction with clients, customers, vendors, and partners throughout project lifecycles.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of design-build experience supporting the building systems industry with a focus on modifications/ retrofitting of existing HVAC systems.
Experience designing HVAC systems (Chilled Water & Air Systems) with the use of tools like AutoCAD
Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers
Comprehensive project execution experience
Strong communication & problem-solving skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Licensed Professional Engineer (CA Strongly Preferred)
