Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java Full Stack Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build brand new, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.
Work Authorization

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and deploy API solutions while demonstrating expertise in a number of areas including cloud computing, API design and development,
  • Supports projects and design recommendations that span the entire infrastructure.
  • Contributes to creating strategy and evolvable systems, including guidelines, standards, and policies.
  • Collaborates with business leaders to help define business strategy and align creative information technology systems architecture to support the strategy. This requires a high degree of interaction with business and operations units to understand the functional needs of the system users as well as the various technology teams, both within and outside of US Bank.
  • Should be responsible for status reporting and build releases.
Qualifications
  • 8 to 12 years of overall experience.
  • Should have 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
  • Strong Java / J2EE, Spring and Spring Boot professional experience
  • Experience building APIs and Restful services, cloud messaging, ground-to-cloud connectivity, highly scalable distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding on mobile design principles, patterns and best practices
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to review code.
  • Experience with Cassandra, NoSQL databases and API Gateways is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to architect mobile application and adopt and improve existing architecture
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and Dev Ops
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Excellent knowledge on automated unit testing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well individually as well as in a highly collaborative team
  • Ability to lead a team of developers and drive high quality deliverables
  • Agile development experience

Strong estimation and resource planning skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $52000K - $123000K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
