Job description

Infosys is seeking a Lead Java Spark Developer.
In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle in Java and Spark. You will also be expected to build high-throughput, fault tolerant systems with requirements including; elicitation, application architecture, definition and design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Irving, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Java, Spark, Hadoop, Impala, Cloudera

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in Application Development role.
• At least 4 to 8 years of experience Leading, Managing a development team of at least 4/5 individuals.
• At least 5 years of experience with Big Data technologies and exposure to data pipelines.
• At least 3 years of experience with Apache Spark streaming and batch framework is a must.
• Working experience in programming Spark SQL, Hive SQL. Java for Spark.
• Experience with Kafka / high performing streaming framework,
• Experience in Hadoop components - Hive is a plus
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, and/or Test-Driven Development environment.
• Working experience with DevOps practices such as Pipelines, CI / CD is preferred.
• Experience in Data analytics, Data Engineering and understanding of Data Architecture
• Knowledge of Financial Domain Driven design is must.
• High customer orientation.
• High quality awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
