Summary:

  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a Materials Service Partner, the individual will be responsible for:
  • Oversight of picking supplies and instrumentation for all operative procedures as well as stocking and setting up OR suites on assigned shift.
  • Collaboration with the management team throughout their shift regarding any issues with supplies and instrumentation needs for the department. In addition, the incumbent will serve as the point of contact for the Material Service Partners.
  • Appropriately triage and maintain a work log for all requests, which includes but not limited to: CDR requests, Supply requests, pick cases, checking navicar for correct service partner names, checking emergency cart sign offs, checking printer for add on or waitlist cases, checking freezer and refrigerators for Sterile saline, water and ice and reporting off any instrument or supply issues to management, 650 coordinators, IP and the next shift.
  • Take lead on projects as assigned by the Service Partner Manager/Supervisor. (Instrument Processing ISC - Philadelphia, PA)

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate to the required stakeholders, on a daily and real time manner, issues regarding supplies that may impact patient care and safety. Stakeholders include the immediate manager, supervisor and other leaders as instructed.
  • Respond and assist the stakeholders with the obtaining of supplies in urgent and critical situations, including communicating with other departments for retrieval / delivery in a timely manner.
  • Independently perform daily monitoring of surgical case schedules to actively and independently adjust to the workflow.
  • Respond to staff calls for issue related to Materials Management, facilitators, Instrument Processing and Nursing.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 1+ years OR supply chain in a high volume, teaching institution
