The role you'll contribute:

The Lead Patient Care Technician is responsible to perform duties as assigned and directed by the licensed nurse in compliance with established process standards, structure standards and protocols of assigned units. The Lead PCT works in cooperation with all team members in an effort to accomplish departmental goals and objectives. The primary function is the delivery of competent, compassionate and cost-effective patient care.

  • Responsible for coordination with educator for training/precepting of new Patient Care Techs
  • Ensures orientation pathways are completed.
  • Reviews shift responsibilities with new staff.
  • Mentors and validates best practices for effective hourly visits.
  • Serves as a trainer (as appropriate) for new equipment and processes.


Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :
  • 2 years of healthcare clinical experience
  • High School graduate or GED
  • BLS required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
  • 3 years' experience as a Patient Care Tech may be substituted for CNA certification but must obtain within required timeframe
