JOB PURPOSE:
Under general supervision of the EP clinical manager and/or clinical supervisor plans, assigns, and directs admin staff in the daily operation of managing the entire process of scheduling EP procedures, diagnostics testing required prior to EP procedures, Physician/APP provider clinics, device/remote monitoring clinics and EP research studies for the office(s) and is able to make sound decision based on the needs of the office and the patients. Lead PC position will oversee all EP admin staff members from the PHI-EP Atlanta and Fayetteville locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises and ensures compliance/competency of all admin staff
Coordinates and ensures appropriate staffing levels and accurate timekeeping maintained
Provides leadership to admin staff
Trains and provides continued education of all admin staff to include PHI satellite offices
Assists manager with interviewing and hiring candidates, As well as provides significant input to admin staffs daily performance
Manages monthly calendar of scheduling Admin staff to ensure adequate staffing for Atlanta & Fayetteville EP clinics as well as the other 16 PHI-satellite office locations we provide EP services
Manages Recalled/Warranty patient explant log for patients scheduled for generator change procedures scheduled by other procedure coordinators in EP
Manages and coordinates schedules of Watchman Procedure for our EP & Intervention physicians as well as the imaging division of Cardiology
Manages scheduling for lead(s) wire extraction procedures (coordinates with surgical team to schedule surgeon as back-up for day of scheduled lead extraction procedure[based on HRS guidelines])
Oversees and coordinates multi-scheduling of EP physicians Outlook calendars
Trains newly onboarding admin staff on scheduling of EP procedures, Physician & APP clinics (clinics also include device and remote monitoring clinic) and also trains newly onboarding admin staff on the pt education aspect for each of our different EP procedures
Manages and resolves insurance denials of our EP procedures
Coordinates the scheduling of EP procedures for EP physician(s) for PHI-Henry office location
Recommends workflow changes to admin area when inefficiencies present themselves
Delegates out task(s) to rest of admin team received by clinical supervisor, manager, or director
Serves as a resource expert for EP procedure scheduling to other departments, leadership, and physicians
Demonstrates competency in documentation
Identifies opportunities for enhanced workflow for the admin area in collaboration with the EP Manager and/or Clinical Supervisor
Ensures issues are resolved in a timely manner
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
3 years related experience in healthcare with 1 year in a specialty office or procedure scheduling

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree preferred or three years of previous experience as a lead or supervisor in the healthcare field
