About the Role

Rapid7 is seeking a highly skilled, effective and experienced IT Lead Program Manager to join the IT PMO team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering complex IT programs that span across multiple teams and technologies. The IT Lead Program Manager will spearhead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects and programs, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

In this role, you will:
  • Program Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT programs and projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and compliance standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams across different departments, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including project plans, budgets, timelines, and status reports.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement in IT program management practices, incorporating best practices and lessons learned.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee program budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and financial compliance.
  • Leadership Development: Mentor and guide project managers and team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.


The skills you'll bring include:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT project/program management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex IT programs.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software development life cycles, and current technology trends.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as Google Suite.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification is strongly preferred.
