A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be part of a diverse, multinational project team, implementing large domestic and international power generation, transmission, and/or sustainable energy projects. You will set up and manage the project time schedules along with other project controls and key performance indicators using project scheduling and other project management tools. You will work together with the core team members and other stakeholders, to ensure project success. Meetings, both face-to-face and online are a large part of the project management business.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Create, maintain, and present all project primavera schedules.
  • Consistently work with various project team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure schedules are accurate and properly maintained.
  • Promote a culture where schedules are not just pictures, they are effective tools to manage EPC work.
  • Understand the schedule logic and the supporting reasoning behind it.
  • Act as a project teams reviewer and work to help the team identify and rectify forgotten activity errors in logic.
  • Perform detailed time impact analysis in coordinate with project manager.
  • Assist is supporting schedule information and narrative for official correspondence and change order management.
  • Ensure delay and change orders are accurate inserted and maintained in schedule.
  • Generate monthly schedule reporting metrics as required.
  • Communicate, coordinate, and manage cross-organizational departments (sales, procurement, engineering, construction, commissioning) to complete schedule as needed.
  • Review project contract for milestones and ensure they are activities within the schedule.
  • Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent. Combination of education and work experience to also be considered.
  • 4-5+ years' experience in planning and scheduling in an industrial environment, using critical path scheduling method and best scheduling practices using Primavera P6 software.
  • Knowledge of EPC project delivery methods including expert working knowledge and understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement and business development) with knowledge of high voltage substations.
  • Must have the ability to utilize latest Primavera scheduling software at an expert level.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Strong ability to communicate with various team members such as project managers, site superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, and procurement to ensure accurate data is being entered into the project schedule.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking skills, advanced time management and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, and adaptable with the ability to motivate and build strong working relationships in cross-functional project teams to develop technical solutions is a must.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work for themselves and others, under strict timelines and being flexible to changing needs.

You will be part of the Project Management group known as Project Controls in a section of the company called Project Entity which is responsible for the implementation of complex projects. The projects span the power industry, from power generation to power transmission, to modern sustainable energy solutions.
