Job Duties

Western State Hospital is seeking internal applicants for it's Lead PCT position. This position is tasked with providing work direction to and guiding PCTs. Lead PCT's are also tasked with the duty of interacting with patients, complying with hospital safety rules and following accreditation standards. Lead PCT's are role models that teach and model therapeutic interactions based on recovery/trauma informed care principles. This individual will serve as the liaison between the PCTs and RN II Unit Shift Supervisor. Lead PCT positions are available on multiple units and shifts:
1 Pine: 1st shifty
2 Spruce: 2nd shift and 3rd shift (2 spots available)

Minimum Qualifications

******Open to WSH Employees Only****** Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of recovery/trauma informed care. A high school graduate or equivalent is required. **Must have completed the one-year probation / Waived to 6 months with recommendation from current RNC.**

Additional Considerations

CNA and/or previous psychiatric experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of program activities (recreation, leisure skills, communication, vocational and educational) preferred. Bi-lingual Spanish and English is a plus.
