This is a full-time position on a product development team. Our software engineers are problem solvers with curious minds and a passion for writing code. They work with industry and product design experts to address the complex challenges of healthcare. As a QA engineer, your responsibilities will include leading and participating in software testing for product implementations, upgrades, enhancements, defect fixes, and integration projects. You will also manage identified issues and defects until resolution, ensuring software quality. This role requires strategic thinking, a broad perspective, and effective communication between Product Owners, Tech Leads, Developers, and QA teams/engineers. (Job Purpose)

Job Title: Lead QA Engineer

Role: Internal Facing Role

Essential Functions:
• Write Test plans and participate in Test plan/code reviews
• Troubleshoot issues and participate in root cause analysis
• Take ownership and be accountable for assigned work
• Actively engage and contribute to grooming product features
• Collaborate and interact effectively within a team
• Ability to coordinate cross-team activities effectively
• Provide constructive feedback for process improvements

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education, training, or work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:
MINIMUM 7 + years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual testing and automated test development
• Experience testing customer-facing web applications
• Experience in creating, executing, and debugging automated tests using Selenium or a similar framework
• Hands on experience with REST and SOAP service testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI
• Solid understanding and work experience in SQL queries to validate the data in relational database platforms like SQL Server or Oracle
• Experience in practicing testing practices in an Agile environment, including estimation, requirement analysis, and delivery life cycles
• Strong background on establishing quality standards, following appropriate testing methods, tools, and strategies in the release delivery phases
• Excellent communication and be able to effectively coordinate and partner with other scrum teams
• Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Experience:
• Agile Scrum and/or Scaled Agile experience (SAFe)
• Git, TFS or other similar source control tools
• Microsoft Azure and other cloud technologies

• Be engaged and actively contribute to planning and continuous improvement discussions
• Critical thinking skills to analyze a situation and estimate effort
