Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours; 7:30am - 8:00pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Radiology Department highlights:
Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and McKinney. We're a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving North Texas with incredible care and amazing people. We specialize in emergency medicine and trauma, cardiology, neurosurgery and spine, advanced orthopedics, women's services, adult and adolescent behavioral health, an adult intensive care unit and state of the art and technologically advanced surgical services. Plus, we're a Level II Trauma Facility, the only health care facility in Collin County to have achieved both the Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designation and have a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program.
Texas Health Plano is a four-time Magnet-designated hospital, the only AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit in the DFW area, accredited by the Joint Commission in Hip and Knee Replacement and a Primary Heart Attack Center. Here's What You Need
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or
- Associate's Degree. preferred
- Two years of general Radiology experience required, 1 year of hospital experience preferred
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R upon hire required And
- CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by TDH or TMB upon hire required and
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
What You Will Do
- Staff supervision and coordination of daily department activities
- Collaborate with the technical staff in organizing and directing department workflow.
- Evaluate technical skills, and schedule staff appropriately to include call and holidays. Provide adequate staff coverage including vacation schedules, absenteeism and turnover.
- Ensure patient care is efficiently and effectively maintained. Monitor and investigate complaints regarding patient care.
- Monitor compliance for accreditation and regulatory agencies and hospital and department standards for safety, infection control, department aesthetics and equipment performance.
- Prepare documentation of QC data and functions as a liaison between regulatory inspectors and management during annual inspections.
- Handle patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging
