Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$31.39 - $40.81 / hour

Summary

Performs all clinical activities per assigned shift. Participates in staff scheduling, assures appropriate shift coverage, on-call coverage, and related activities of the staff. Also participates in employee orientation, training and competency determinations. May perform staff blood gas competencies if qualified as a Key Operator. Actively participates in clinical evaluations of products and/or procedures. Provides conflict resolution, handles front-line complaints, and acts as the resource staff member for the shift.

Requirements

Education:

Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required. Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience in respiratory critical care.

License:

Licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health Division of Medical Quality Assurance as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as an RRT-NPS or RRT-ACCS.

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (based on hospital population) required. Intubation certificate & Arterial line insertion certificate can be obtained.

Other:

Bachelor of Science Degree required performing the duties of a Key Operator.
