Position Overview:
The IAM Tools Engineering team (ITE) is looking for an experienced software engineer to support the ITE application portfolio. The ITE team develops custom tools that support the Identity and Access Management organization within Wells Fargo. This position will be responsible for the hands-on design, development, and implementation of new custom tools and feature enhancements. This person must have a proven track record of demonstrating their ability to effectively deliver solutions in an iterative manner.
A successful candidate will work closely with the ITE engineering agile team, business partners, and application users. Have related agile experience developing solutions in an iterative manner, and most importantly have an agile mindset. This role will require someone to collaborate with the IAM Tools Engineering agile team, reporting team, and interact with business lines and technology leadership across the enterprise in the execution of Wells Fargo Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies, objectives, and critical initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Position Requirements:
  • 7+ years of MS SQL Server experience including
    • Stored Procedure Development
    • Function Coding
    • Triggers
    • Database Deadlock resolution and Performance tuning
    • Understanding of Normalized database development
    • Understanding of data warehousing schemas (i.e. Star, Snowflake, Galaxy)
  • 5+ years of ETL work using MS SSIS with experience in the following topics:
    • Package configuration
    • Data Translations
    • Integrating with non-SQL Server data sources (i.e. Oracle, DB2, Excel, etc.)
    • Experience working with dynamic configurations within SSIS packages a plus.
    • Experience working with multitudes of data sources in SSIS (i.e. Oracle, DB2, Flat Files) a plus
    • Prior Experience with NDM File Mover
    • Understanding of the Autosys batch scheduler
    • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
    • Advanced troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
    • Test driven development experience a plus
