Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for "Lead Software Engineer (PERL scripting) @ Greenville, NC" to join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. Responsibilities:

• Associate need to work independently on the user stories (for a 2-week sprint) assigned to him on Rally.

• Associate need to be prepared to give daily updates on his tasks in the daily status call.

o What you did yesterday?

o What are you going to do today?

o Any blockers?

• Associate need to interact with the client development team in a separate call post the daily status call and have all the queries, code reviews, deployments, etc. taken care.

• Associate need to interact with the offshore development team and be a step ahead and be very clear in the tasks and properly explain them in detail about the tasks assigned to each of the offshore associates. Also, educate the offshore team to be in par with the client team.

• Associate need to participate in all the discussions happening at onsite with various stakeholders (any meetings, production issues, etc.) and immediately address them.

• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in PERL scripting language (with excellent hands-on knowledge).

• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in Unix commands and shell scripting (with excellent hands-on knowledge).

• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL.

• Experience working in Agile environment.

• Good hands-on experience of Apache Web-Service.

• Good exposure to Oracle Apex reporting.

• Good exposure to SOAP-UI.

• Good communication skills and willing to learn.

Must Have Skills:

• PERL scripting language

• Unix commands and shell scripting

• Oracle SQL & PL/SQL

• Apache Web-Service

• Oracle Apex reporting

• SOAP-UI

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position depends on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
