Position Purpose
Arrange a classroom to facilitate learning and meet the needs of each child individually.
Serve as a Lead Teacher for a group of children that may range in age from six weeks through ten years, in a child care setting.
Observe, assess, and assemble developmental records on children in their care.
Plan and organize classroom activities/experiences to facilitate and enhance learning for the children in their classroom.

Experience
Nine (9) months of experience working in a formal child care program setting required.
Transcripts are required as part of the interview process.

In compliance with accreditation guidelines, incumbent must have Child Development Associate ( CDA ) or at least an Associate's degree in Child Development.
Per state regulations, incumbent is required to attend training workshops as a condition of employment each year.
Family Care Safety Registry screenings are required for all workers in a child care setting, as required by child care licensing and accreditation.
If a CDA is used to meet qualifications, candidate must get the additional certification within one year if the position applied for is not in the area of the applicant's current CDA . Candidate is responsible to maintain certification throughout employment.
First aid and CPR training required within 90 days of employment.
