JOB SUMMARY:

Provides high-level, discipline-specific, technical skills needed for the successful operation and maintenance of video elements for assigned Entertainment venues, projects, or events, to ensure highest levels of show quality and a positive guest experience. Serves as Lead, with the ability to train others. Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of the technical entertainment department and employees. Works independently, and reports to a Technical Designer or above.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Functions as the discipline specific lead assigned to Entertainment venues and/or events. Plans and delegates work tasks among qualified team members. Communicates performance expectations to ensure proper completion of tasks.
  • Actively reinforces company safety guidelines, reports non-compliance. Monitors employee's productivity and work habits. Leads work startup and stoppage. Monitors care, condition, use and storage of tools, equipment and other UO property. Maintains material inventories.
  • Ensures proper completion of documentation. Captures written behaviors and provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement using FYIs and lead observation reports to support management documentation.
  • Communicates and coordinates with other disciplines and departments as needed. Communicates resource needs and work plans to Coordinators and Supervisors. Provides two-way communications between work team, supervisor.
  • Performs job duties as described in non-lead job descriptions. Maintains and shares job knowledge, assists in training and continued development of team members.
  • Accountable to strictly adhere to all policies and procedures, as defined by the Entertainment Department, governing the safe operation of all technical equipment.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
  • Technical school, Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within the assigned technical discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of live show camera operation, signal flow, installing and operating projectors, LED walls, and video systems, and computer skills including Microsoft office.
  • Proficient knowledge of assisting on video production shoots.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience providing work direction.

Preferred:
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premier and video editing software.
