Under direction of the Director, Maintenance & Operations/Transportation, assist in planning and scheduling bus routes and schedules, oversee and assign bus drivers to designated routes and special event trips; drive a school bus or other transportation vehicle; train bus drivers; maintain required reports; interface with parents, administrators, outside agencies, California Highway Patrol, and Department of Education; independently resolve issues related to pupil transportation; coordinate warehouse/delivery daily operations; and do other related work as assigned.

Training and Experience: • High school graduation or equivalent • Five (5) years' experience as a bus driver, including some responsibility for planning and scheduling bus routes Please submit an EDJOIN online application, along with REQUIRED DOCUMENTS and evidence of required experience as detailed below: REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

• Certificate Copy (Level 1 Forklift Operator's Certification (or obtain prior to the end of the employment probationary period)
• Certification (California Special Driver's Certificate for Type 1 school buses, (DL-45))
• CPR/First Aid Certification (Required if the first aid test given by the California Highway Patrol was waived [listed as restriction '6' on the Special Driver's Certificate] must be American Red Cross or other EMS authority approved)
• DMV Printout (DMV driving record dated within 30 days of application)
• Driver's License Copy (Valid appropriate California Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with P [passenger] and S [school bus] endorsements)
• Health (Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC), (MCSA-5876))
• Letter of Introduction (addressed to Ms. Tracy Mouren-Laurens, Executive Director, Human Resources/Induction)
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (two (2) current WITH SIGNATURES)
• Other (Copy of most recent Department of Education T0-1 Training Certificate)
