Job Description: Learning and Development Director
We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Learning and Development Director to join our global Talent Development team based in New York, reporting to the Global Head of Talent Development.
The role will be responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating learning solutions that drive business impact.
As an individual contributor the role requires a solid understanding of the learning and development landscape including instructional design and the ability to execute a learning agenda that drives a high culture of learning.
The ideal candidate is task driven with the mental agility to move and execute at pace, seeing tasks and projects through to completion.
About the Role:
Pay Range: ($135,000) - ($165,000)

Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Similarly to salary, for bonus eligible roles, targets are set based on a variety of factors including competitive market practice.

About the Role:
- Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to create and advance learning strategies to build leadership and capability development that drive commercial outcomes
- Design and deliver learning and development programs that are both engaging and interactive through a variety of mechanisms including presentations, e-learning, videos, job aids and other relevant resources
- Utilize instructional design expertise to create effective learning programs that cater to different levels of capability and expertise
- Partner with external vendors to facilitate learning programs in a variety of formats such as classroom and virtual
- Build and manage credible relationships with external vendors including existing relationships in place for next generation learning platforms
- Provide support on annual employee engagement and pulse surveys
- Evaluate and report on the ROI of learning strategies to business impact
- Create metrics, reporting and data-driven insights to share with key stakeholders
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in learning and development and deploy innovative approaches within the context of News Corp
- A minimum of 10 years in a Learning and Development role or equivalent experience
- Expertise in talent development, leadership development and the ability to apply this expertise through pragmatic solutions to fit business needs
- A track record of designing and delivering development initiatives across leadership and capability development
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, execute and manage multiple programs of work with a variety senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver with impeccable accuracy and quality
- Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity
- Commercially focused, with excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Confident working with senior stakeholders, anticipating the business view, and building credible relationships
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
- Assessment or coaching accreditations a plus (e.g., Hogan, DiSC, Social Styles etc.)
