Georgia-Pacific Dixie® Consumer Products Operation is seeking qualified professionals to consider for our Learning and Development Leader - Reliability role supporting the Consumer Products Group Operations located in Jackson, TN. The Jackson facility uses integrated technology to manufacture Dixie plates and bowls products in a progressive production environment.

The Learning and Development Leader will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning and development programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees. This role is crucial in driving the organizational culture and supporting the company's strategic objectives by fostering continuous learning and professional growth.

What You Will Do In Your Role
  • Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture
  • Design and deliver comprehensive learning and development programs, including onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and compliance training
  • Assess the current training programs and recommend modifications to enhance effectiveness
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as e-learning, simulations, and workshops
  • Conduct training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and consultation with managers
  • Analyze and identify the skills and knowledge gaps and develop targeted training initiatives
  • Develop and update training materials, manuals, and other educational resources
  • Ensure that training programs are aligned with business goals and comply with industry standards and regulations
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for employees at various levels within the organization
  • Coordinate with external training providers as necessary
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, performance metrics
  • Prepare reports and presentations on training outcomes and improvements needed
  • Lead a team of training specialists and coordinators
  • Collaborate with HR, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure training programs support organizational objectives
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development
  • Implement innovative training solutions that leverage technology and enhance learning experiences



The Experience You Will Bring

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in learning and development with responsibilities for training others
  • Experience working at or in support of a manufacturing or processing facility
  • Experience with building operational learning and development programs that support safe working practices, skill building, and operational efficiency
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

What Will Put You Ahead

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
