Job Description:
The Learning and Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the Learning and Development Manager in overseeing the professional growth and skill enhancement initiatives within the Home Office and Pacific Hospitality Group (PHG). This position entails collaborating with various stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate learning programs that align with organizational goals and foster team member development.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Design: Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and impactful learning materials, including onboarding process, training manuals, training videos, learning management systems, leadership development, Forbes Travel Guide training, mentor ship programs and other training content.

Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members, utilizing your public speaking skills to captivate and educate the team. This includes our monthly President's Call, HR calls, Town Hall, New Hire Orientation and leadership development trainings. This can include facilitating, scheduling the training and building out the decks. Training will be delivered in person, through zoom and teams.

Internal Development Program: Assist L+D Manager in owning the High Potential Program (HiPo) for the company. This is our internal development program which includes delivery of what the program is to the company, hosting quarterly HiPo events, develop trainings and mentorship activities within the program.

Team Member Engagement: Host monthly engagement activities for our team members at the home office. This may include quarterly luncheon, hosting award ceremonies, spirit week and assisting with other departments' engagement.

Compliance: Assist in monitoring compliance regulations for home office and properties through Venza and E-Place.

Learning Programs: In collaboration with L&D department, assist in developing, implementing, and evaluate learning programs and initiatives that align with our companies' objectives and team member development needs.

Assessment and Feedback: You will assist the L+D Manager in the team member engagement survey and annual review process rollout. Ultimately, this will help you determine what the training gaps and needs are at the property level. Your insights help cultivate a culture of continuous learning, fostering professional development and organizational success.

Learning Management System: Stay current with the latest learning technologies and tools, integrating them into our programs for a modern and efficient learning experience. Assist in LMS rollout training as needed.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to identify training needs and tailor learning solutions to address specific challenges.

Administration: Create our Monthly Newsletter in collaboration with other departments, build out training decks, develop presentations and deck for our quarterly All Company Call. Assist L+D Manager with scheduling meetings and travel schedule as needed.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Psychology or a related field. Relevant certifications in L&D is a plus.
-Experience in a corporate learning and development role, preferably with a background in the hotel or retail industry.
-Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire an audience.
-Proficiency in content design and development, including learning management systems.
-Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive individual and team performance improvement, engagement and development
-Strong project management and organizational skills.
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Teams Zoom, various LMS systems
-Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
-Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
-A passion for continuous learning and a desire to help others grow and develop
