The UHS Corporate Human Resources Department is hiring a Learning & Development Consultant to facilitate training for UHS staff and leadership. This includes actively participating in facilitating, updating, and creating training and leadership development initiatives for supervisors, managers, and other leaders in the organization.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Facilitate both classroom and virtual training sessions; foster/maintain a positive, engaging experience for the participants; deliver existing company training programs, courses, and requirements as designed maintaining content integrity and learner engagement
  • Perform training administration, e.g., schedules, communication, class rosters, participant evaluations, ensure accurate and timely documentation of training records
  • Assist in the development of training content and instructional materials; recommends appropriate delivery methods and/or training aids.
  • Develop, deliver, evaluate and update training programs and projects in support of the learning and business strategy
  • Regularly assess and analyze training needs, identify gaps and recommend solutions
  • Participate in train-the-trainer sessions for newly developed learning initiatives
  • Assist in the formulation of UHS Corporate Learning & Development operations policies, procedures, programs and/or schedules
  • Consult with leadership to develop and deliver learning initiatives to improve employee performance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years' experience in a corporate learning & development role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; Demonstrated skills facilitating training experiences and engaging learners
  • Working knowledge of adult learning methods and practices; ability and experience to consult with UHS sites/departments to identify and recommend interventions; knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Position may require 30% - 50% overnight travel for periods of one week or more as dictated by business needs
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization and subject matter experts and effectively communicate with team members
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
