Description

The MA Program in Computational Social Science at the University of Chicago invites applications for a part-time, non-benefits eligible Lecturer to teach one course in the Master of Arts in Computational Social Science (https://macss.uchicago.edu/). This position will start as early as Fall 2024.

The Lecturer will teach one course oriented toward master’s students interested in pursuing computationally oriented research careers in academia, government, advocacy, and multinational firms. The Lecturer’s course should add substantively to the existing curriculum. Of particular interest are courses focused on professional applications with a computational and applied focus dealing with real-world data.

This position will be part of the SEIU bargaining unit.

Qualifications

To be eligible, candidates must have a PhD in Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, or a related field.
