Department Summary
Teach North Texas (TNT) is an undergraduate secondary mathematics, science and computer science teacher education program at UNT and is one of over 50 national UTeach replication sites. In this program, experienced secondary teachers teach and train pre-service secondary teachers in the implementation of innovative best practices.
UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
Position Overview
The UNT TNT program, in collaboration with the Mathematics Department, invites applications for a full-time lecturer position starting in Fall 2024. The successful candidate is expected to teach 4 courses/sections per semester during the academic year. It is expected that the successful candidate will focus on the instruction of developmental mathematics courses and provide service to the TNT program.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience teaching secondary math.
Preferred Qualifications
A Masters degree in Mathematics or a Masters degree in Education.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Secondary Mathematics teaching certification required.
