Job Duties

The senior legal assistant takes on a significant level of responsibility, providing comprehensive support to attorneys and legal teams. This role involves managing complex legal matters and coordinating legal projects. The senior legal assistant possesses a deep understanding of legal processes, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and exhibits technical competencies in legal research and writing.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Provide specialized high-level administrative support in specific legal area.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of section/unit procedures.
  • Manage complex calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys and/or
    executives.
  • Prepare and review legal documents and correspondence with utmost attention to detail.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings and conferences, including preparation of agendas,
    meeting materials, and minutes.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial documents, budgets, and reports.
  • Conduct legal research and compile relevant information for executive decision-making.
  • Organize and maintain files and systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling inquiries and
    requests.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and provide assistance in preparing presentations and reports.
  • Prepare expense reports, track invoices, and handle billing matters.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and maintain strict
    confidentiality protocols.
Additional Considerations
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related
    field.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a legal secretary or executive assistant in a legal
    environment. Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using office software and legal research tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate needs.
  • Prior experience supporting executives or senior-level attorneys is preferred.
