THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED PART-TIME POSITION (UP TO 20 HOURS PER WEEK)

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The UTHSC Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) Administrative Associate 3 assists the LEND program with teaching, scheduling, administrative duties, and data entry and processing for the LEND program in the Department of Pediatrics. This position is primarily remote with virtual access to most program components and select activities will be requested to be on-site at UTHSC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Receives data requests from program participants and sends reminders to participants to ensure all information is received in coordination with the supervisor and other employees.
  2. Enters information/data into a national database.
  3. Participates in LEND program curriculum and select other training sessions.
  4. Advises other LEND faculty and staff on family and/or self-advocate perspectives of lived experience of disabilities.
  5. Teaches and mentors trainees.
  6. Assists in the recruitment of trainees in family and self-advocate trainee roles.
  7. Prepares reports related to program participation.
  8. Attends periodic virtual training on database updates.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of administrative support experience; OR Associate's Degree and two (2) years of administrative support experience; OR Bachelor's Degree in lieu of experience. (Individuals with a lived experience with a disability and underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply.)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of family and/or self-advocate perspectives of lived experience in disability.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple demands, problem solve, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to plan for anticipated program needs per the usual program schedule.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse population.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive and other programs and applications.


WORK SCHEDULE: This position is occasionally required to work weekends and evenings. May occasionally require overnight travel.
