Summary
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn is inviting applications for an Intermittent Lecturer for Fall Term 2024 to teach AENG 587 - Automotive Manuf Processes . The course will be taught in person at the Dearborn campus and meet on Thursdays at 6-8:45pm.
This is expected to be a 25% appointment.
Course description:
Manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, forming, machining, molding, etc., are examined specifically in the context of their applications in the automotive industry. Quality control and techniques, process selection and methods are emphasized.
Required Qualifications*
Candidates will possess, at a minimum, a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and expertise in the broad area of Automotive Engineering. Relevant teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence are desirable. Candidates will be evaluated based on submitted CV, teaching evaluations, and relevant recommendations.
