Apex Systems is hiring for a Level 2 or Level 3 Quality Engineer for one of our top clients in North Charleston, South Carolina.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. • 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Charleston, South Carolina location.

Position Responsibilities :
  • Analyze engineering documentation to determine process capability and conformance
  • Perform data analysis of defect trends and present findings and recommendations
  • Lead projects to identify root cause and eliminate defects and rework
  • Execute quality build plan changes
  • Recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances
  • Perform engineering change review and verification
  • Continuous improvement of quality engineering processes


Required Qualifications
  • ABET accredited engineering degree and/or a Technical discipline
  • 2+ years experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or another regulated industry
  • 2+ years experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution processes
  • 2+ years experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and developing conclusions
  • 2+ years experience managing projects with cross-functional stakeholders and teammates


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experienceworking in a Quality Engineering or other production engineering jobrole
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • Experience with analytics tools & software
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with an emphasis on positive relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
