TCI has an immediate need for a Level 5 Oracle Database Administrator in Melbourne, FL (no remote). This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity . This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. SUMMARY

The Oracle Database Administrator will support multiple databases tasks in a dynamic environment, maintaining, managing databases (via command line, OEM, SSMS). Experience with migrating databases to lower cost options will be an added plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Database management with solid experience in Oracle RAC, Grid infrastructure (ASM and Clusterware), Data Guard (logical and physical standby), Oracle Enterprise Manager (strong skills).
  • Highly skilled in Oracle database backup/recovery, high availability, data replication solutions, and applying quarterly security patches.
  • Creation of jobs, stored procedures, and other database activities as needed.
  • Control of security of the database systems and how users interact with the data.
  • Documentation of database processes.
  • Plan and execute Implementations of new data related applications and systems.
  • Review and implement new database designs based on developer requirements.
  • System performance tuning and diagnostic related tasks.
  • System health monitoring and proactive correction of issues
  • ONCALL rotation with other team members. Need to be able to physically be at Melbourne, FL facility (not remote in) within an HOUR of getting call.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years as an Oracle DBA experience.
  • 3+ years with Linux Red Hat
  • 5+ years solid overall experience with Oracle DB technologies, Oracle Enterprise Manager, upgrade/patching including quarterly security patches for RAC, Data Guard Standby, standalone environments.
  • Strong Linux Red Hat experience, Solaris operating, Windows OS.
  • 5+ years of experience writing and debugging stored procedures.
  • Minimum 4 years experience leading and managing a team.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent core database administration life cycle skillset from installation to disaster recovery.

  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Requirements
  • SQL Server database management on VMWARE experience is desired
  • Knowledge and experience with standard SQL Server (version 2012 and later) administration, backup, recovery, refresh databases, performance tuning, HA/DR solutions, upgrade and patching in a virtual environment is an added plus.
  • Oracle Multitenant CDB/PDB administration along with migration from non-CDB to PDB is a plus.
