Description

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Licensed Family Support Counselor Contract Worker As we expand our counseling services, we are looking for a dynamic therapist, passionate about working with a range of clients served through all of our programs.

Our team is passionate about supporting families as they adjust to a new normal following the diagnosis of a child, foster care or adoption, infertility, or other life stressors.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, required.
• Current, active, PA clinical license (LPC or LCSW) required.
• Minimum of one year experience post licensure in clinical work with families and children required.
• Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence based therapeutic interventions for treatment required.
• Strong knowledge of the impact of trauma and trauma informed interventions required.
• Strong ability to build rapport with and communicate with all clients, regardless of age, preferred gender, sexual orientation, or other belief systems required.
• Experience working with families who have experienced infertility, adopted, or are dealing with a child with a medical or developmental need preferred.
