University Health has provided medical services to inmates at the Bexar County Detention Center since 1995, and continues to be accredited by National Commission on Correctional Healthcare. We are currently looking for LMSW's to join our Adult Detention Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a reputation for exceptional service and patient care.

What you will do:

Counsels and assists patients with personal and environmental difficulties in a correctional facility. Acts as a therapeutic agent as a member of multi-disciplinary health and mental health teams. Actively supports the policies and procedures of the University Health System.

What we require:

• Current licensure for the state of Texas as an LMSW is required.

• Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work required. O ne year of post-Master's degree experience in a health care setting is preferred.
