Overview
Heater Road Primary Care has the pleasure of caring for patients across the entire age spectrum, from newborn babies to geriatrics. We are a large clinic that is divided up into Internal Medicine who sees patients 18 years and older and Family Medicine who sees patients of all ages including children and infants.

The LNA role is an integral part to the clinic's ability to provide excellent patient care. Some of the tasks include but are not limited to: performing ADL's; obtaining clinical data including vital signs, heights and weights; utilizing universal precautions; collecting specimens or performing point of care testing; recording results in medical record; sterilizing and cleaning equipment; and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site. The clinic structure and tasks can provide a great foundation of skills and learning for an LNA.

Successful LNA's have the ability to work as a team, strong work ethics, professionalism and flexibility. Average Day: The Licensed Nursing Assistant at Heater Road works in an extremely fast-paced environment (averaging 170 appts/day). A typical LNA assistant/provider day includes a combination of well and acute care visits, which may include the above-mentioned tasks.

Primary Care is located on Heater Rd offering easy parking.

Typical shifts: 7:45a-5p, M-F

Responsibilities
  • Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including, but not be limited to, performing ADL's, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc.
  • Assists visitors and answer telephones.
  • Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

  • Qualifications
    • High school graduate required.
    • Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use.
    • Previous hospital experience preferred.


    Required Licensure/Certifications

    - Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
