Social Worker Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the social services department, ensuring quality care and support for residents
• Develop and implement social service programs to meet the emotional and psychosocial needs of residents
• Conduct assessments and create care plans for residents, collaborating with healthcare professionals and families
• Provide counseling and support to residents and families, advocating for their rights and needs
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to social work services
• Supervise and mentor social workers and support staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment

Social Worker Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Ohio is required
• Prior work with elders in a community or long-term care setting is preferred
• Must have skills in communication, assessment, and social work methods and techniques.
• Should be able to work effectively with a variety of disciplines in an individual and team setting
• Have a working understanding of social systems along with the ability to implement pertinent state and federal regulations.
