Summary

The Licensure & Regulatory Affairs Specialist serves an integral role within the legal department at LHC Group.

Responsibilities
    \n
  • Participate in and facilitate the preparation, execution, and administration of licenses, permits, and other regulatory filings.
  • \n
  • Coordinate the gathering of information from various business groups, operating companies, and departments in connection w ith the preparation of analyses, applications, and other regulatory filings.
  • \n
  • Continuous tracking of all regulatory filings, w ith particular emphasis on expirations and renew als, and keep internal clients nd others informed of filing status and related issues, as appropriate.
  • \n
  • Maintain both pending and completed filings in an organized and accessible system.
  • \n
  • Ensure that all filings are completed, signed, shipped and processed in a timely manner.
  • \n
  • Perform a variety of regulatory and analytic assignments under the direction of in-house counsel using legal, regulatory, financial, and other related information.
  • \n
  • Demonstrate a positive, flexible, customer comes first attitude.
  • \n
  • Uphold strict confidentiality at all times regarding all licensure matters, including, but not limited to, pending and completed applications and negotiations.
  • \n
  • Prioritize and manage assignments quickly, accurately and efficiently.
  • \n
  • Manage special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • \n
  • Provides guidance to licensure specialists as necessary.
  • \n
  • Gathers information from relevant departments and completes annual reports as required by State agencies.
  • \n
  • Communicates both orally and in writing with the field and other home office departments to advise and comment on licensure matters.
  • \n
  • Identifies areas in need of improvement and communicates best practices to staff as appropriate.
  • \n


Education and Experience
    \n
  • High School Diploma required.
  • \n
  • Advanced degree or relevant w ork experience preferred.
  • \n
  • 2 years experience in legal or related regulatory position.
  • \n
  • Healthcare experience desired.
  • \n
  • Know ledge of federal and state regulatory filing requirements.
  • \n
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • \n
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks quickly, accurately and efficiently in a fast paced environment under strict deadlines.
  • \n
  • Demonstrates good judgment
  • \n
  • Ability to w ork across multiple internal and external teams to find solutions to problems or challenges.
  • \n
  • Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • \n
  • Self-motivated, able to w ork on a team and independently.
  • \n
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • \n
  • Must be capable of w orking in an environment w here evolution and change are the norm.
