An IT Software Company is seeking a direct hire Linux System Engineer to join the team for a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux/Unix System Admin and Engineering responsibilities. Additionally, strong Atlassian application management experience is strongly desired. The team is currently working on many projects, including upgrading to Rocky Linux and ensuring that security remains intact through the process. outside of this project, this person will be expected to installing, configuring, troubleshooting and deploying many applications. The environment is ON PREM and there is an on call rotation for after hours support.

- Linux Sys Admin/Engineering Experience (mostly a redhat environment)
- Atlassian Application Management/Configuration Experience (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Security/Firewall experience
- Automation experience: python, PowerShell, Perl

- experience working with offshore teams
- Gitlab experience
