Job Summary:
Work with claims staff to maximize counsel and vendor efficiency in claims litigation.
Job Duties:
• Review, analyze and audit law firm invoices submitted by defense counsel
• and others for compliance with Allied World Billing and Litigation Guidelines.
• Partner with claims analysts and other staff to conduct special projects including large scale audits within a claim, firm wide audits, and comparative task-based audits across panel firms.
• Identify firm billing trends through review of invoices and analysis of data and draft memos for upper level management, as appropriate.
• Meet or exceed productivity requirements as outlined by the Unit Supervisor.
• Perform any and all duties as assigned and related to the goals of the Department and Company.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
• A minimum of two years' experience in handling p&c insurance claims, legal invoice review
• and/or practicing insurance defense law. A bachelor's degree is required. JD is preferred.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication and problem resolving skills.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
• Strong computer literacy with knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to see "big picture" while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
