Litigation Paralegal

Kavaliro is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for an onsite position in Orlando, FL.

Essential Functions:
• Possess the ability to communicate with others effectively, listen closely and convey points clearly
• Possess the ability to multi-task and balance the needs of several Attorneys
• Be organized and able to organize files, monitor calendars and meet deadlines
• Able to draft legal documents, motions, pleadings with confidence and requiring minimal correction
• Capable of delegating tasks and following up on completion
• Experience utilizing legal database software
• Possess strong knowledge and understating of court systems, deadlines, and trial procedures
• Solve problems and deal with a variety of variables with limited direction
• Strong research and report-generating skills
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to calm clients who may be distraught
• Be comfortable working with sensitive material, and able to maintain confidentiality guidelines
• Possess the ability to adjust to constantly changing workloads
• Working knowledge of computer applications
• Draft and file legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and motions
• Able to negotiate settlements and reductions
• Able to schedule meetings, appointments, depositions, and trial dates
• Able to communicate by telephone and email
• Able to conduct client interviews and maintain a relationship with the client
• Able to clearly present case status to clients and Attorneys
• Able to communicate with other team members constructively
• Respect client dignity and confidentiality
• Present oneself as a professional at all times

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 2+ years of related experience, working in a law firm or legal department
