Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for one of its North or South Carolina offices. The ideal candidate will have experience working on litigation-related matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide high level, detail focused, and proactive litigation support.
- Assist with the management of eDiscovery, including organization, searches, productions, redactions, and log document dispositions.
- Analyze and organize large amounts of information and data sets.
- Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in civil litigation, state and federal court procedures, and working with regulatory bodies such as the FDA, and CPSC.
- Prepare agency, state, and federal court filings.
- Gain and utilize a deep understanding of product liability laws and issues
- Assist with research, such as rules and procedures, public searches, and compiling information for attorney review.
- Organize documents, prepare witness files and materials for deposition
- Prepare materials and coordinate logistics for trial/arbitration.
- Special projects and duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Five or more years related experience in a mid or large-sized law firm preferred
- Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize project requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a client service focus
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of court process and procedures.
