About the Team:
Building a world where people can safely discover, create and connect. The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

The Trust & Safety Policy team develops, reviews, and implements the policies and processes that underpin our Community Guidelines to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our users and content creators to enjoy and express themselves. As the LIVE Product Policy Manager, you will work on a product policy team focused on the TikTok LIVE content ecosystem team with a mission to develop policies and manage content intervention strategies impacting TikTok LIVE.

You will work closely with a variety of internal partners, including other members of the Trust & Safety, LIVE Product, and Legal. In addition to policy development and review, you will also support internal teams which identify, triage and remove violative content.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

Responsibilities:
- You will act as the Product Policy point of contact for the TikTok LIVE content ecosystem team to develop content policies and review content intervention strategies impacting TikTok LIVE;
- You will work closely with Product Policy, Public Policy, Legal, and Public Relations to perform in-depth analysis of the LIVE content ecosystem, identify potential content ecosystem risks, and build consensus on policies and principles toward ensuring appropriate and high-quality content on TikTok LIVE;
- Create and maintain guidance and training documents related to TikTok LIVE for moderators and internal Trust & Safety teams working to safeguard the platform;
- You will streamline cross-functional workflow to optimize policy implementation and enforcement for content ecosystem risks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- You have 3-5 years of experience working in the technology industry, specifically working on policy development or program management;
- You have a bachelors degree in public policy, politics, law, economics, behavioral sciences, or any other related field;
- You are excellent at oral and written communication, with the ability to translate complex challenges into simple and clear language and persuade stakeholders at multiple levels;
- You have excellent analytical reasoning, project management, and cross-functional skills;
- You have experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures;
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role;
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
