A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Package Service Manager, you will partner and work closely with the R&O (Risk and Opportunity) Asset Manager in the analysis and purchase of brown LM2500 packages in the Global market. Once assets are acquired you will manage and coordinate with key suppliers in the repair and upgrade of the package systems. This includes being responsible for receipt of all material coming back from repair ensuring cost is allocated to the correct work orders. You will also work closely with core and PT (Power Turbines) repair managers in order to place repaired assets into acquired LM2500 packages. A core responsibility will be to analyze the economics of whether to purchase new parts or repair brown parts within the package. You will be responsible for the repair management of numerous packages while also working with salespeople to sell brown packages into the market.

The Repair and Overhaul team is a very cohesive team that is made up of 7 experienced professionals who have very specific skill sets which are focused around Dresser Rand Power Turbines and LM2500's. The team is service oriented and place the needs of the customer as a top priority.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Review all repair costs to ensure they are within a reasonable range vs. new part cost.
- You will help to manage costs by deciding on whether parts should be replaced with new or with brown parts.
- You will prioritize which packages will be refurbished within our key suppliers.
- You will directly manage cost allocations in the acquired packages
- Packages will need to meet strict EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) codes while some will need to be CE compliant.
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Management or Engineering plus 5-8 years of experience working with aeroderivative gas turbines (those with more years of experience may be considered for a more senior level) or High School Diploma /GED plus 10-15 years of experience in aeroderivative Gas turbines.
- Knowledge of aeroderivative repair concepts and processes
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
