Locum Endocrinologist Physician * 119768: Northeastern, Iowa

  • Certifications required: Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of training), BLS or ACLS, Iowa Medicaid enrolled (preferred)
  • Must have an active IA license or IMLC
  • Credentialing: 30 days
  • Start Date: ASAC for 6+ mo
  • Schedule: M-F 8a-5p
  • LOA (# of days worked): Available 2-4 weeks per month
  • Inpatient or Outpatient: Clinic
  • Patient Volume: At least 12 patients per day, need to be able to see new patients & follow ups
  • EMR: EPIC
  • No procedures
  • Treatments required: full spectrum on endocrinology. Also do bone density in this clinic. We have a stand along cancer treatment center within a few blocks, so cancer patients can be referred there for specific cancer treatments, but would follow up with endo for ongoing care. Must be willing to prescribe anti-obesity meds (phentermine, Topamax, wegovy, etc) along with the following patients (via labs an/or visits) for drugs such as methimazole and levothyroxine. A lot of diabetic patients. We have diabetic educators that can assist with education and sensor downloads.
