Provide support the government customer by providing expertise and support for the asset management and personal property functions as they are presented. Coordinate with Accountable Property Officers to receive, inventory, account for, maintain records of, and assist in the disposal of all customer assets within and outside the National Capital Region (NCR).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare detailed reports which might include procedures for processing data through the use of Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) database.
  • Conduct quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
  • Advise users on access to various client/server databases.
  • Provide all activities related to the administration of computerized databases used in Asset Management.
  • Collect inventory, financial and contractual data to manage the asset throughout its life cycle.
  • Communicate with management, technicians, and end-users to evaluate need prior to development of an automated solution.
  • Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Performs work that requires practical experience and training.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience in utilizing the Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) database.
  • Must be able to provide all activities related to the administration of computerized databases used in Asset Management.
  • Able to communicate with management, technicians, and end-users to evaluate need prior to development of an automated solution.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • Public Trust suitability

EDUCATION:
  • Must have 1-4 years of experience and a high school diploma or GED certification.
