Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Key job responsibilities

-\tLead a team responsible for receiving, inventory and warehousing operations at the Payload Processing Facility (PPF)

-\tExecute Transportation related SOPs related to warehousing and inventory activities at the PPF

-\tAccurately track and account for all inventory located at the PPF warehouse

-\tUse proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually receive and manage material

-\tEfficiently deliver material to PPF stakeholders, both physically and virtually

-\tMeet operational metrics related to warehouse receiving and inventory activities

-\tAttend weekly business reviews with stakeholders

-\tReceive shipments involving 3rd party suppliers

-\tEffectively communicate high priority matters with leadership

-\tInterface with PPF personnel and ensure material flow is planned and executed

-\tShift schedule will vary, depending on production/launch schedules

-\tCoordinate trailer or container movements within the PPF Yard

-\tLead team of Logistics Coordinators

-\tOperate equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand cart

-\tRole requires up to 15% travel

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-\tHigh school diploma or equivalent

-\t3+ years in supply chain, operations, warehousing, inventory control or related experience

-\t3+ years working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment

-\t3+ years of team management

-\tWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

-\tAbility to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks

-\tValid Driver's license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria

-\tAbility to obtain and maintain a US Passport

-\tAbility and willingness to comply with the Government of French Guiana which mandates that travelers receive vaccinations for yellow fever and COVID-19

-\tWith or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
