How does a Long-Term Care Claims Examiner make an impact?

Provides customer service by answering phones and providing information to the Client/Beneficiary, Financial Representative or Third Party as appropriate regarding questions of coverage, claim status and other information as needed.
Position reviews, analyzes, investigates, decides course of action, concludes payment decision by referring to policy coverage and limits and authorizes payments for claims in assigned line of business (Life/Long Term Care/Disability) within authority guidelines
Corresponds with Financial Representatives, policyholders, hospitals, doctors, attorneys and claimants. May communicate directly with clients, state insurance departments and other internal and external areas.
